My favorite place to be in the summer is Joe's cabin.
And before you get a picture in your head, know this. It's not some fancy second home on a giant lake slammed up against a bunch of other houses. It's a more secluded small A-frame cabin rocking some solid 70s decor. And it's amazing.
The Rapp Compound (as I call it) is a plot of land that is shared between many members of the extended Rapp family. There are multiple cabins that are occupied by relatives (or empty depending on the weekend). There are many hiking trails to go foraging for mushrooms. There's a small lake to go swimming and an even smaller lake to go fishing. There's a patio to enjoy multiple happy hours throughout the day. And there's always a project going on somewhere.
I finally remembered to bring my camera and document some of my favorite parts of the cabin. And I started showing my nephew, Liam, how to use my camera (he got some great shots).
