I love my friends. I consider myself very fortunate to have people in my life that I so dearly connect with.
Two of my friends got married four months ago and it was incredible. Like, I still regularly think about just how awesome it was.
It was a destination wedding to a small community just south of Atlanta, GA. We got a shuttle and didn't have a car for the three days we were there. And the best part? We didn't need one. Everything was within walking distance. There were three restaurants, a general store, farm animals, walking trails, an inn and a pool. We had everything we needed and our time was spent simply being around friends. There was a morning that I sat on a comfy porch swing overlooking the pool just listening to the sounds of nature for like 45 minutes.
There's nothing better than being forced to do nothing. All too often I get stuck in my own little world. Life gets busy and I spend my ever-precious spare time lying on the couch watching Netflix because my brain can't handle anything else.
But here's the thing. Life will always be busy. But if I can make time for Netflix, I can make time for my friends. I don't want to let time rush by and regret not spending more time with the people who are nearest and dearest to me.
Here's a little video I filmed throughout the trip and some photos. None of them fully capture the true beauty of our time there, but they're great reminders.
